Paul,

While researching ANCR I came across this post in the SI ANCR thread:

Ancor future is based on Fibre Channel technology. I believe the main reason for
people to switch to Fibre Channel will not be for its network capabilities as they could
use ATM, but rather its ability to speed data from the cpu to the hard disk. Fibre
channel like SCSI was originally concieved for this use. This is Fibre Channel's killer
application. Ciprico a raid vendor is coming out with the first true Fibre Channel array
this summer. Seagate is also coming out for the first time soon with a Fibre Channel
drive. People will buy these drives and equipment as the offer an order of magnitude
increase in disk drive bandwith. Once people have these drives, it is relatively easy and
low cost to upgrade the disk drive interface into a network. This is when Ancor's sales
and technology will take off.

The recent OEM announcement just helps them move forward, but the real boost for
Ancor is yet to come. I expect them to post losses for the remainder of the year and
then take off. People should look at Ciprico(CPCI) first rather than Ancor, as they
should be the first beneficiary of Fibre Channel. (End of Post)

I looked up CPCI and found there is little to no interest in the stock. When you get a chance and take a look. I don't understand the lack of interest, if this post is accurate.

Have a good weekend!
