Melissa, I'm busy scratching my head on this one. My guess (and I stress the word guess) is that Momentum will be a pure software development house that will rely on other companies to sell and service product. So it will really be a separate company. I'm guessing, but it sounds as if PeopleSoft may have some license fees or commissions derived from products developed by Momentum. Now here's a further guess. Previously, PeopleSoft funded new businesses such as Campus Software off the balance sheet (I'm not quite sure how) and then purchased them later. This may be an attempt to replicate the model while allowing PSFT shareholders to benefit. But this is pure conjecture. I wish that there were a more definitive statement coming from Duffield.
