"What is it going to take to get the P/E ratio of Value Line back to more normal levels? Are the anticipated interest rate drops for early 1998 already priced into this? The yield curve is so flat right now, the next thing we'll start hearing is how it's going to become inverted! Short term credit squeeze with long term rates low. Could happen. Keep your eyes peeled for articles on this."

Yesterday the bank stocks got hit for just this sort of reasoning. Now the discussion is on flat yield curve. Inverted is just around the corner!! You heard it here first!!!
