Brian, the discussion is pointless. I think it would be more interesting to engage Michelle in this discussion because I think that she feels that there is real money to be made by some of these internet stocks. My take is that if I don't see a gross profit or a reason for a gross profit in the near future then the "investment" is pointless. If we agree that real investments are based on the probability of generating positive cash flows, then I am hard-pressed to understand a lot of these companies. Conceptually, they offer certain advantages -- chief among these are the decreased cost of doing business in the form of occupancy and handling of inventories and inventory levels. But there is very little by way of a barrier to entry. I believe that there will be a lot of money to be made on the internet, but it will be primarily by companies that either have a good franchise to begin with (like BKS, and DELL), or those providing the infrastructure necessary to make the system work (like ASND, CSCO, NETA, etc.). Anyway, I think I've beaten this thing to death. TTFN, CTC
