So what do you know of tropical housing, chaparro? Have you ever built in the tropics? Have you ever even been in the tropics outside some porquería of a gringolandia? Do you know what shelter shelters from in the tropics? Do you know how to lay bloque straight and strong? Do you know how to do a roof of losa? Do you have any idea of the economics of housing anywhere on the 17th parallel of north latitude? I do, all of the above - and here's a hint on the economics - with what you'd pay for one of these sparkley plastic trailer contraptions that they flog around here [49+th parallel, left coast] you could build strong tight cool comfortable sturdy little houses for a dozen or more families in the state of Chiapas, and have plenty left over for the fiesta. Now people are not stupid in Chiapas, they do not want the trailer thing instead. I suggest that it would be ignorant to expect a radical difference 380km to the east, but then of course we're up against your basic problem, which as you say is "We are already overflowing with ignorance". I had in fact noticed that.

But be sure to let me know when your 'overflowing ignorance' abates to the point where you can identify the board of directors of your publicly-held and publicly-traded company, eh .... lolol
