Of all the Greeks, the one I love the most is Plutarch. Reading Plutarch is like reading a contemporary writer who was mysteriously transported back in time almost 2000 years ago without realizing it.

He is one of those timeless thinkers, like Shakespeare.

For mysteries, I am very fond of the Brother Cadfael books by Ellis Peters.

I never read Titus Andronicus but the newish film with Anthony Hopkins looks intriguing.
