I don't mean to be argumentative, but all of your concerns did not happen during PDJT 45. The goal was to NOT have US consumer prices rise and it worked. The other goal (tandem) was to draw the manufacturing jobs back to the US.

US institutes tariffs on China, China devalues and subsidizes to offset tarriffs - with the goal of retaining the market share of the largest consumptive market on the face of the earth. EU suddenly finds that they are falling behind so they devalue as well. Towards the end of PDJT's second term, a number of industries (primarily automobile) were planning on moving manufacturing back to US from Mexico.....Companies decide to side run the tariffs by moving manufacturing to US. Election theft short-circuited that.
