There was an article in the NY Times a few weeks back concerning the retirement of a couple of executives at Warner Brothers. My memory of the article is a little rusty, but essentially it was saying that their departure marked the end of the era of irresponsible and frivolous spending by studios and their executives. I don't believe that the movie industry is as free wheeling as it used to be in that regard. Of course I would like to see MVEE with a reputable accountant, but I don't think it is much more important than if they were in any other industry, as you imply.
