It's the economy, stupid. When we asked our readers how the economy would fare under a Gore administration, a 53% majority thought it would do worse. Only 11% thought it would improve. The remaining 36% saw no change. Those numbers indicate that credit for the current healthy economy is going to Clinton but not the vice president.
