Maurice, I like Volvo because it divested itself of a lot of things it didn't do well or economically, to focus on its car and truck divisions. Its cash breakup value is about the same as its stock price, greatly reducing the investment risk--I've momentarily forgotten the term for this because I am a rank amateur, so please help me! It produces the safest cars on the road; in some recent years there have been NO fatal injuries suffered in car accidents while riding in Volvos. They last forever if you take care of them, and are simple to repair. Automobile stocks are out of favor right now, and this one has held steady at about 20 as long as I have been watching it. Mercedes are more powerful and more fun to drive--I actually only like European cars and I think these are the two best ones. But I trust my family's safety in the universe every day in our Volvo, and if you have to use oil and steel and rape the earth, at least do it with elegance of engineering while we strive to rapidly develop the best alternatives. And I just think Volvo is plain undervalued and will reward the patient investor.

Go VOLVY!!!
