Generally Out Of Favor Stocks, or GOOFS for short, is more than a
philosophy. It's a forum for traditionalists who believe that a low
P/E is a thing of beauty. Or that a broken downtrend line belongs on
the family crest. Yes this is the place to examine momentum stocks
before they have momentum.
GOOFS by definition must be stocks that look a little shabby, that
have seen better days (price peak at least 18 months ago). Stocks that
are unloved (volume of shares traded decrease on bottom of curve).
Stocks that are embarassing to talk about, but have a heart of gold
(a Compelling reason to buy). Okay, call me...The Big GOOF
