A contrary nature is a powerful asset, difficult to acquire. Probably its also rare, although fairly common in this particular neighborhood. Getting more than two GOOFIs to agree on any given stock is roughly akin to getting my fiance to say was wrong about something. Penny has acknowledged that I've been right a few times, but in twelve years she hasn't been wrong. Now how did I get off on that tangent? Is it possible that we'll all sound like NGW Maurice in a few months? One point I'd like to make is that I accept the common philosophy of a diversified portfolio. GOOFS are meant as only a portion of the whole. And I find myself curious about how other GOOFIs approach the portfolio concept... do you ever NOT buy because its a sector that you've already invested extensively? Any thoughts, Cadet, or anyone else? Regerds, TBG
