I have a question for the thread:

I own stock in a company that the CEO of has proven, through contacts with the DCT, that its MM's are short over 1 million shares of, of a three million share float.

Since the company went quiet three months ago, the stock has been heavily manipulated, with the price dropping twelve or fifteen cents on 500 share sells, and not rising on anything but the heaviest of buying.

So, my question: If there are six market makers active in this stock, would they have to be in cahoots to manipulate the price down? or would they, since they are all short, react the same way?

I am trying to figure out how this works.
