My 1999 WildAss Speculative Portfolio...

Here are some extremely risky stocks where you will either lose a lot of money, or you will retire early. This is dangerous stuff so tread carefully!

For example, Long Distance Direct Holdings (LDDI)is a reseller of long distance services purchased from MCI and ATT. This company used to do well, but they sold minutes to some bad accounts and we left owing telecoms 5 million dollars (the company has negative shareholder value). They also run a psychic hotline, but revenue stream is uncertain.

But the kicker is that LDDI is starting PowerChannel, a FREE TV based Web service. In exchange for cable hookup, tuner and keyboard, the user has to fill out a 1/2 hour questionarre about viewing/buying habits. LDDI will sell this information to marketing departments for big $$$, much like Nielsen ratings are sold.
