PHILOSOPHY
I have decided to create a stock picking forum that represents my stock picking philosophy. I also want to open up a discussion forum where traders can relax and voice their views on stocks and strategies. I especially want to attract investors who like to maintain **multiple trading styles**, those who do not rely on just one method. And yes, I want to present my own favorite stock picks. I will argue for my stocks, but I will not hype them. Finally, I want to avoid the negatives of other "personality cult" boards. I will not for example pick a momentum stock every day. I may pick as many as one a week or as few as one a month, but I will not push stocks on a daily basis, because only I will win and most of you would lose under that scenario.

Vain? Probably. But my vanity is backed up by two good years of stock picking. Some of my best winners in the past two years have been ZITL, THQI, MAPX, TAVA, FORSF, LU, CHRZ, KEA, CDO, CPWR and AKLM. Yes, I have had dogs, some very big (OREX) and smaller dogs (DDIM), but I have learned alot from my mistakes and I hope I can help you avoid them. Some of you can point out mistakes I am still making too.

My forum differs from others (such as Tokyo Mex's, e.g.) because I stress maintaining multiple portfolios. Other forums stress a single style (e.g., shorting) or day trading. My stock picks will fall into three categories, each entailing a different time frame and/or investment principle. The three categories are:

BLITZKRIEG: A short term trade recommmendation, with a holding period of 1-14 days. These will probably be stocks under $10 that meet most of several criteria: Rapidly emerging news or themes, liquidity, recent insider buying, reporting status, small floats and/or rapidly evolving positive TA signs such as volume increases. Examples of successful Blitzkrieg trades I have had in the past include SEVL (in and out three times), URMD, AKLM, DFNL. My losers in this category include PEAFF.

I will **not** post a Blitzkrieg everyday. There are simply not enough good penny stocks to do this on a daily basis. I will not post a short term trade without doing sufficient research.

SIEGE: A intermediate term recommendation, 2 weeks to 6 months. This will usually be value plays where a stock price is undervalued relative to its udnerlying assets. I will try to find companies where news is anticipated, news that will increase investor public awareness of the undervalued nature. Included in this category are also "special situation" stocks. That is to say, companies that benefit from unique but time limited events. Included here is my current pick, TTN. Other winners include MAPX.

CAMPAIGN: Long term hold, 6 months to one year. This will usually be a good turnaround story or a beaten down franchise name. If not a turnaround story, it will be a company sitting on the edge of a huge untapped market that is just creeping into public awareness. The investment term most appropriate is "market opportunity" or "mandatory market" stock. And yes, some will be "story" stocks that need time will be inlucded. Examples of stocks I have owned in this category include ZITL and KEA (y2k mandatory market) and THQI (turnaround, new product cycle in gaming platforms). OREX was a big loser for me in this category.

POSTING RULES:
1. If you want to proffer a stock pick, make the ticker symbol the topic line (first line of the message). In the text, categorize it is a Blitzkrieg, etc.
2. Good short arguments are always welcome, as long as they are directed at stocks discussed here. I, however, will not offer short picks, nor do I want this to be a forum for short picks.
3. No personal attacks. However, brutal honesty or critiques are always welcome <g>.

So pull up a chair, grab a beer and a bratwurst, and let's make some profits.
