Funny you should mention BYND...

My Yahoo! Price Alert informed me BYND went below $6. I am looking at it again. It definitely looks like a value play as it sells at 1.7 times sales. I've been out since $11. I was wrong about BYND.

But in calculating the "value" of the government contracts, keep this in mind: (1) the term of the contract is 3-5 years and (2) they split revenues with another company. So you need to be very careful in calculating 2000 revenues.

The other thing I still don't like about BYND is their customer attainment costs. They blew 10s of millions getting the name out. And nobody cared. It was stupid, especially since BYND was tyring to cry a niche market in government contracts. Compare this with DRIV, which has extremely low customer attainment costs.

BYND is starting to look tasty here. I'll do more work on this! Maybe you can bring me up to speed: Did the CEO resign? He is such a goofball.
