These acquisitions by PSFT (and CSCO, and others) never make sense to us poor shareholders. They're always overpriced and often don't work out. I think the belief is that there's needed synergy here. Management must have looked at the make versus buy decision and figured it was cheaper (and faster) to buy. Sorry, I have no inside information to reveal.
