Think Soundview got it right this time? From Briefing.com Market Report -- Short Stories (MERQ) March 21, 2002 1:56:00 PM ET "Mercury Interactive (MERQ) 37.37 +1.02: MERQ shares responding nicely to positive comments out of Soundview this morning; shares are up nearly 3% intraday. Firm believes MERQ's qtr is "shaping up well" after conducting channel checks; does not believe co. will "blow out" numbers, but rather produce a mild revenue/EPS upside while maintaining or slightly increasing guidance and building backlog. Soundview would be buyers on weakness". Sounds like the old Merq... no big blowout but nice solid execution. Guess we'll see in a few weeks. TA
