At these prices, they could buy all the shares back and go private.

Oh, Walter, that would require cash. Where are they getting that from. Printing all of these shares has been their cash hasn't it? Why would they buy shares back now after they have worked so hard to print so many shares? Looks to me like reverse splitting has some merit as it allows them to print more shares faster.
