Finally, few managers seem to think the economy is headed for more than a gentle pullback. But Mark Cole, of Thunderline, has concerns about its longer-term health. The U.S., he fears, has moved from a savings-based economy that can be controlled by the actions of the Fed to a credit-driven economy. And credit-fueled booms have always ended badly, he notes.
