Fred--don't know how long you've been investing/trading--but in 87 during the crash -- gold and silver were locked limit up two days in a row. I am sure your father will rememebr that since he has been doing this thing a while. Look for bullish sentiment to decline to below 30% and bearish sentiment to get to over 55% and I'd say that we'd be close to a bottom. Insider buying is still very strong and that comes during major market bottoms though it can take a few weeks/months to get there--and the insiders do seem to buy early quite often.
