Jim and Stick.

Lets not forget that DELLs suppliers are practically inside DELLs manufacturing plant and DELL now has a 4 hour turn around from taking the order to booking of the order. There is no way CPQ is going to match that by sending parts all over the country for someone else to put together. Not to mentions CPQ overhead for design and manufacturing of motherboards. CPQ knows they can't compete with DELL, thats why CPQ is forced to do the second best method, which is untried and unproven, in an attempt to compete.
