(For those who have a hard time with theories.)
The Germans dug down and found fiber 100 below the surface. Their conclusion: Germans already had phones 10K years ago.
The British were in disbelief. Trying in too, they dug down 200 ft. and found glass (used with fiber, I guess--Marty). Their conclusion: 15K yr. ago, their ancestors, too, were smart enough to have phones.
Hearing that, Americans decided to give it a try. Digging down 500 ft. they found absolutely nothing, zepo. Their conclusion: 55K years ago, Americans were using cellular phones.
