Let's hypothesize that many vendors could/might want to move to Zixcharge. Regardless, most are now contractually bound to a provider for at least a year. That is why the focus on the small merchant with easy-to-build storefront software. That is the only remaining segment of available market share and even that segment of market is being locked into one-provider relationships.

Pure guess: IF ZixCharge is released in the spring of 2000, 90 + percent of the available market will be tied-in to an e-commerce infrastructure vendor. The remainder won't commit until the next Christmas selling season starting in Fall of 2000.
