Elamex earnings report out tonight.

If I remember Paul, you were a holder of Elamex. Well the earnings report tonight was a mixed bag. The top line was pretty good, with revenues up 31% over year ago and 5-6% sequentially over last quarter.

But the gross profit and operating income lines were both down significantly on a sequential basis due to higher wage costs which in turn were due to a government mandated wage increase. The net income (after tax) was up only because of a negative provision for income taxes. The net per share was 0.29 and the year ending total is $1.15 a share.

So the trailing PE= 9 and trailing PSR= 0.65, but the BT margin dropped to 6.2% from 10.5% the previous quarter. Not an encouraging sign. But the analysts had an estimate of only 0.25 for this quarter last time I checked Zack's. But they probably didn't guess the positive impact of the income tax provision, so the results may still be short of their expectations.

Be interesting where the market spots this one tomorrow. There is a conference call at 11:00 am Eastern time. A replay will be available after 4:00 pm Eastern time at (913)661-0487 confirmation code #315071.
