Electronic Contract Manufacture (ECM) Sector
An SI Board Since January 1997

There are quite a few threads on SI for ECM companies; yet many of the interesting small cap companies are missing. Also I see a need to compare these companies. The ECM or EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Service) sector has been growing over 20% per year as outsourcing has taken hold. Functions are outsourced to gain economies of scale, more flexibility, and keep up with latest manufacturing technology.

Primarily Box and Board assembly: SCIS, SLR, JBIL, FLEXF, SMOD, PLXS, SANM, BHE, GRTK, IECE, ACTM, CMCI, ALRN, SFLX, DDL, ELAMF, SGMA

Board Manufacturers: HDCO, MERX, ELEX, CCIR, SIGA, CSYI

Diversified EMC companies: KNT, DIIG, CTN
Related EMS companies: PKE, SHEL, CHERA
