I was under the impression that Michigan got hit by the NCAA at the end of Steve Fishers tenure..I apologize if that is incorrect. Maybe it was just an investigation by the NCAA. You will get no argument from me about the Big Ten this year, in either sport. In fact, I was very unpopular this past football season, when I insisted that the Big Ten had the best conference in football. Around here, it is unheard of, to think that there is a better conference than the SEC. And in many years, that is true. But I dont think so this year.
I have always liked Michigan football, alot. There is a great tradition there. I pull for them against most all the teams they play. Ironically, about 3 of my coworkers, are Ohio St. alum..so it gets rather interesting during football season. Maybe I have grown fond to the University because my best buddy lives in Marine City, and I try to get there as often as possible. I dont follow their basketball as close, but I do know, they are a team to watch the next couple of years, when that freshman class matures. |
