>>Forget Donald Sew

Not a chance!!

I don't know how long you have been following Don's posts but I will tell you that having followed him for quite a while, I respect him as one of the best technicians on SI. He sticks his neck out day after day with clear unhedged views on what he thinks the market is going to do -- and he is right most of the time. He may have made a wrong call this time but my respect for him--and I suspect most others who follow him--is not one iota less.

In fact, if you have followed his postings the one thing that you will know is that Don has always stated that significant fundamental events can override technical parameters -- and what occurred today was just that -- a cut by the Fed that the market did not expect. So, in a sense, though Don may have been incorrect in terms of feeling that the upside was limited, he was absolutely right in recognizing that a major fundamental event could change the dynamics.

But on the other hand, I am not a bit surprised that you -- or others of your ilk--would react the way that you did. I stated a few days ago in a post to Don, when someone else derided his efforts, that sooner or later he would make an incorrect call and thereafter people would crawl out of the woodwork and deride his efforts.

If your intention was to compliment GZ for his timely call, I can certainly understand that--I have done the very same thing myself -- but to do it by putting down Don, is unwarranted, crass and is more revealing of you than anything else.

The participants on this thread have tried to maintain a substantive discussion with frank give and take in terms of their views and the actions that they are taking in terms of positions in the market. It is unfortunate that we have to be subjected to a post such as yours that seeks to deride the efforts of a valued contributor.

So my counsel to you is to crawl back from whence you came and leave us to help each other out.
