I think I read somewhere that hey retained the rights to some 40 films. Which ones, I don't know. Either way, I think that the cable industry pays a one time charge for the rights to show a movie. I wish that weren't the case, I have see Segal and Van Dahm on the tube every night for a month. Either way I am sure that there are some royalties that they continue to receive from these films but not enough to really make a difference. Maybe a growing European and Asian market with new TV networks can add a couple of sheckles to our bottom line.

I had lunch today with an executive at HBO. I had mentioned MVEE and G&G. His response was, " Boy, do those guys know how to make money" Evidently, this guy made a bundle on Cannon films.

PS I think I had a bit more fun when there was a little fire on this thread. Is this a kinder, gentler MVEE thread.......?????
