Hi Bernie, I started with MXF in Jan of 1995, just after the devaluation. The price was WAY off it's previous 52 week high, so I bought in at $21/share! Brilliant! I don't think it's been above that price for more than about 15 weeks since!

It would be completely dead money with a price of about 1/2 of what it was when I started, but AIM's managed to pull off a gain of about 7% for me, excluding all dividends and interest. I also own 5X as many shares as when I started. So, if they prosper, I'll prosper.

BTW, the Idiot Wave for Feb. 97 was 50%, so you're not too far off in your guess.

I don't know if I'll hang around the MXF fund or not. I guess after enduring the pain, I should allow myself to enjoy the gain. But it sure has taken some serious patience!

Best regards, Tom
