You have clearly demonstrated your lack of understanding. I'd throw away your S&P guide and you probably have some Warren Buffet book about how you should never buy a stock with a PE of over 10 -- get rid of it too. Also, check out peoplesoft.com. It's a good place for rookies to start . . .
