Impact of the trade war:

Here's a pretty good article documenting what's caught up in terms of our exports to China that have been and will be affected by the on-going trade battle. stlouisfed.org . Soybeans, motor vehicles, electronic circuits and aircraft. The first two have already been retaliated against. The last two are probably on the block now. This chart shows the Chinese bound share of the exports in each of these categories. The importance of these categories as a percentage of the total amount produced is different and not nearly as much as might be expected. Bottom line is they don't buy a tremendous amount from us which is one of the reasons we are mad at them.
