I looked at Bayview Technology's webpage - it does look cool. I'm sure they will be deluged with orders if they're not already - too bad they're private. Solar energy should get a boost, alternative energy sources always do in this kind of situation. I'm not familiar with the current use of solar in southern Ca, maybe it wasn't price competitive with oil or natgas? I bet a lot of people are checking into it now. It's not going to eliminate the need to replace power plants or build new ones, though.
