Thanks Larry,

I just shorted the stock at 87 and I did because we're going into a dangerous time for the stock market on the down side not to mention we are now overbought in the indexes again and we have now formed a double top for the day.

Most importantly I shorted because this was the last quarter for Dell to increase their growth rates on a yearly basis which will cause most of the fund managers and momentum players to bail out.

Earnings Growth Rates

Q4 97 .65* Q4 96 .51 27% ****Watch out for slowing growth****
Q3 97 .59* Q3 96 .39 51%

Q2 97 .59- Q2 96 .29 103%
Q1 97 .54- Q1 96 .21 157%
Q4 96 .51- Q4 95 .18 183%
Q3 96 .39- Q3 95 .19 105%
Q2 96 .29- Q2 95 .17 70%

*First Call Estimates

The upside that can be sustained by momentum is now very limited and all the risk is on the down side. Dell is a good company but even Michael admitted today they cannot sustain their growth rate.

Finally, just take a look at the technicals, we reached a new high and yet not one single technical indicator reached a new high. This is a classic loss of momentum and are the early signs of distribution which is shown in money flow.
