Beef has never been a problem. It is probably the safest protein intake a human can eat. The idea it wasn't safe was a planned hoax to try to diversify people's demand for protein. You can believe it or not, but we were taught it would be done for that exact reason years before it happened. You can safely eat cud chewing animals.
