Interesting article...

We are definitely moving towards a less private society... We are not only photographed but sometimes our calls may be screened as part of a regular random screening effort... On the one hand, you could argue that if you have nothing to hide why be concerned... On the other hand, once the right to privacy is slowly taken away we all become fish in a bowl... Many national tests now require fingerprints... The time may not be that far off when we'll need to flash identity cards all over the place... The army is experimenting with tracking chips in GI's... Imagine if it became mandatory for all of us to have a tracking chip installed in some part of our anatomy...

There will always be good arguments for these encroachments on our liberties... But anything that puts government bureaucrats sitting in front of monitors watching the moves of all citizens instead of the select few targeted public enemies, chips away at our constitutional rights to "Life, Liberty, and The Pursuit of Happiness"...
