Hi Rob, Amazing, I didn't know Fidelity has a policy that would allow them to work against you like that. I hope you mentioned to them that you were not "trading" the account, but managing the level of risk - as any good fiduciary would do.

When I've had my own discussions with a couple of mutual funds in the past, mentioning 'fiduciary' management has usually softened them up a bit.

I've been using Vanguard's Select Energy Fund (VGENX), but don't know if the performance is the same or not. So far, no problem, but I just started that account in Feb. I believe.
