I voted yes. I, like many others, often disagreed with A@P, but so what? A@P should have the same rights (or, it seems, lack of rights) afforded every other SI member.
I feel SI's patently subjective policies concerning what is or is not "wrong" are obviously flawed. Likewise, I find it particularly ridiculous that a member can be booted off SI just because a group of other members complain to "management."
SI should do one of two things: Either provide an option whereby a user (say, J. Stone) could totally block another poster's (say, Taste Like Chicken's) messages from showing up on the user's screen (this may appease the whiners), or, better yet, simply stop policing the threads, and allow members to post whatever they want. (My only caveat to this would be towards those that join strictly to spam a stock across the threads, join to advertise a product or service, or towards those that post blatantly obscene or rude messages).
But booting someone just because another person (or group of people) complain? What sort of "policy" is this?
