I agree....
Tesla stockholder Richard Tornetta sued Musk and members of Tesla’s board of directors in a Delaware Chancery Court, alleging that the award is excessive, and the board’s vote to give it to him amounts to a breach of fiduciary duty.

I also feel Google is too generous with my share of the company in awarding options... as a $1T+ market cap company... giving away in stock every quarter what would be a very nice dividend seems excessive.

Trouble is the people with the 10x votes per share of stock benefit from the options...

I think Larry Ellison did this with Oracle for decades and it was a big thing that has kept me out of his stock. I've done well enough with MSFT where Gates fixed the dividend vs stock option problem once he left.
