Thanks Kirk. My Street Smart Edge charts show a low in XOM of around 31 in the late 2002 timeframe. I would also look at CVX (better balance sheet) and BP (some green initiatives) for a bounce at some point. I hear you on bottom fishing, I have also learned that what looks cheap can get cheaper. Revenue also doesn't mean all that much without profits, Ford and GM have revenue in the league of some of these oil majors, but Ford has a market cap of around 27B and GM 43B. For long term holders of big oil, the coming election will loom large...
