Even if Seagate is an ADPT customer (I wouldn't be surprised), this particular fact may not affect Adaptec, since the ADPT Singapore plant is a manufacturing/packaging facility for board-level and enduser products. They source all of their silicon through outside foundries (ADPT has no silicon fabs of its own) like TMSC.

Therefore, a falloff in Seagate business may affect ADPT chip-product revenues/earnings, but I doubt it would have much effect on their Singapore headcount. Other factors might, but probably not this.
