I feel like I could get shot for saying this, but I've argued that anyone who is on the State payroll or draws a pension should not get to vote... but then we'd not have a 13.3% top income tax rate with 10% sales taxes in some cities and over $50K a year property taxes for many homes in my city where they buy the land and build new. They all vote for their own best interests, more pay and pensions, rather than public health, keeping more of what we earn, etc.
