Yup.... It was in our local paper. I've been using my reusable bag as a liner for the shopping cart. I place what I want to buy on the top. I noticed the checker last week wasn't too happy to load it and it made sense. I spray them with Lysol when I get home and spray or wipe down what I buy. You can also just let them sit out for 3 days and every virus particle should be destroyed by then.

“The thinking with the reusable bags is that when they are handled by different people and moved among different environments, it’s possible they could be a carrier of the virus,” said Preston Merchant, a spokesman for the San Mateo County health department. “It does attach to surfaces. Moving towards non-reusable bags means fewer people will have touched them.”

I am more worried about things that last longer than a virus that might make me need my supply of TP... Such as what comes in contact with a shopping cart that leaks out the diapers from a babies butt.... I NEVER place food items in the baby seat...
