Mahmoud - to me "quarter going accoding to plan" is a positive statement since analyst have certain expectations when it comes to earnings and sales. It cetainly means that there are no surprises that can account for the stocks recent demise. As for my own research - I do my own research, but when a statement is put out on the web that an IR person said something like you stated he said - it's kind of difficult to "do your own research" and confirm such a thing. That is not to say the IR person didn't say it, I'm sure he did. As for "influencing buying and selling" I never accused you of anything like that. I am merely trying to determine what was meant by the IR person stating there was "misinformation" on the web (I didn't say that he did). It's my opinion that the reason the stock has fallen so much is due to their falure to give future direction to Wall Street as to where this company is going and how it will perform. Thus, anything to pry out some information from them is a good thing. I apoligize if you feel that IR will not be so informative in the future, but if they are unwilling to confirm such statements then they should not be stated in the first place. The purpose of IR person is to release information that is available to everyone for the asking, not one person. My only beef is that they should put out a press release about what they said or make a public comment about it instead of an off handed remark. In addition ,if they know of any widely dissimninated false information they should point it out to the press so that people would know about it and there wouldn't be confusion which could lead to a stock falling for no reason. PS- I am still awaiting a return call form the IR person - not a good sign in my book. I think they should dump this guy already I think he is doing a poor job
