I've watched her split wood blocks into little pieces. And take the nuts and bolts off of her cage feeder doors and get out. We'll come back from a short trip .. and she'll be out. But she harasses me .. I put my hand near her with a peanut or pistachio and she ATTACKS my finger .. and holds it in her beak. No Pressure .. Just a Friendly . .. as if to say .. HEY !! What's your hand doing near me .. ?? Ohhhh it's Food ! ;) You ought to watch her eat a Chicken Leg Bone. SNAP .. Crack .. Crunch. And then sometimes she will pay me the ultimate compliment by "upchucking stuff" from her craw to try to feed me. Which is "Really Gross" so then I have to leave the room. lol She was given the Death Sentence about 4 years ago by the Vet. She was diagnosed with proventricular dilatation syndrome commonly called MaCaw Wasting Disease. It's Fatal. The craw gets inflamed and no digestion occurs. She was the 1st case in OH in over 10 years .. but the Magical Doc Mohan tried an experimental treatment of .... Celebrex the NSAID. The most fun part was giving her the medicine .. as you can imagine. I Ranted when I thought they were going to remove Celebrex from the Market. You'd never think this this Bird was ever sick to see her today. Cheers !!!
