Exchange is only a secondary source of income for OnSale (at least
for now). They are still in the ramp-up mode for this service,
which still has ways to go to catch up with EBay. Their main
source is regular auctions, bringing in much more money. These are
limited to Computer, Sports and Electronics products (mostly
closeouts, but recently I noticed a lot of brand new items at good
initial prices) now, but OnSale is planning to expand into other
areas, according to their CEO (tickets, gifts, etc.) Note, that
despite the increased competition, they are still the leader in these
types of sales (judging by their volume (yes, number of bids), 7
days auctions, technical advantages (BidWatch)).
