Riefenstal did not appear to be upset in seeing herself eclipsed, but must nevertheless wonder just how far she could have gone had the Left succeeded in destroying Germany's educational system as has the Left succeeded in destroying the U.S.'s. That makes selling the Big Lie(s) all that much easier.

What would you define as the "Left" in Hitler's Germany? Hitler himself, after all, started out as a garden variety socialist, and his own political creed was called "National Socialism".

What, exactly, did the German "Left" to which you refer attempt to do to/with the national educational system? We know what Hitler did: he stifled dissent of all kinds, and obliged academics to accompany all of their publications with prefaces lauding National Socialist theory. He also promoted anti-scientific theories of eugenics, and so on and on and on.

Lies bigger than his are difficult to imagine.
