The nice thing about mechanical strategies like these is they remove all judgement from the process, something that TA can never do. On the contrary (a pun?), according to testimony from interviews with some of the top traders in Jack Schwager's Market Wizards, some of the greatest value in technical analysis comes from its ability to weed out one's emotions from the decision making process. And better yet, those who have created TA-based trading systems have removed judgment by 100% from the investing/trading decision process. Regards, Rainier
