I usually cannot call the bond close hour. It is a nutty hour and generally speaking I don't like trading it unless it is a slam dunk type trade so I really have no idea. My guess would be up since we have had the real negative TICK most of the day and the averages are holding up fairly well, but that could be completely incorrect.

If we run up quick prior to the bond close, it is likely to be lower. A lot of times the action from this time to 3:10 est is the opposite of the last 40 to 50 minutes.

I guess I am saying I really don't know. Probably up and then down, but for specific time frames I usually defer to Patrick.

EDIT - Just posted this and checked....it is breaking to the up-side. Depending upon the underlying strength in the indicators, I would think a sell-off into the close starting 3:15 or so, but if the underlying indicators really start to cook, we could run to the close.
