HOUSTON (Dow Jones)--MegaWorld Inc. (MEGW) announced a new senior management team, a move to Houston, and the resignations of most of its previous directors and executives.
In a news release, MegaWorld said Charles D. McPhail has been elected chairman, president and chief executive. McPhail was formerly chairman and chief executive of Total Building Systems Inc., a Houston company that merged with MegaWorld in November, it noted.
The company said it has also named Charles F. Hicks as vice-president of financial affairs and chief financial officer, and Douglas D. Smith as general counsel.
It said George Levy has resigned as chairman and a director, while Irwin Roll has resigned as president and a director and David Mahy has resigned as chief operating officer and a director. Nathan Berkowitz has resigned as chief financial officer and a director, it added.
The company said its new location in Houston is also the headquarters of its engineering and manufacturing division. The company's former New York City headquarters will remain the headquarters of MegaWorld's real estate division. The company's communications division is headquartered in New Jersey, it said.
MegaWorld is a diversified company with interests in engineering, manufacturing, real estate and communications.
